Personal Experience

Hi. This is my personal experience with harvest moon psp version - boy & girl. Well, though I played the boy version only once, i found it very fun. Of course, a girl gotta stick to a girl. I know that the girl version will end faster than the boy version but still, I want to experience different type of feelings of getting the different types of bachelors. So if you are confused of what to play because you heard that girl version end faster than boy version, don't worry! Play to your heart's content! It's not like your life or something. You should try different types of things like me! I haven't try much of the boy's version so yeah yeah! Don't worry and go according to your heart's decision.

Anyways, for me, I would pick like Kai, Gray, Cliff and Doctor. I don't like Rick. Well, if you like him, you can go for it! The popular ones are like Kai, Gray and Cliff. Doctor is because he's kinda sweet in a way when you play. Here's some info about them I collected .. (hehe it's hard. I got disliked for a few times, LOL..)

Frequently asked Questions
Q; How to Marry in Harvest Moon?
A; For boy version, get the girl you want and make her heart red (You will see at the bottom of your chat or speech with her). After that, go to the supermarket and purchase this blue feather on your right for 5000g (I suppose so). Use it close to her and she will start to talk to you about marrying you.
For the girl version, make your bachelor red heart too but you don't get to purchase the blue feather. You will wait until your bachelor says something to you about marrying him and you accept. Wait for a few weeks and you will marry him.
Just to take note. Boy version is so much better as you can have a child while girl version ends when you are married.
Q; How to extend your house?
A; For the 1st house extension, you will have to upgrade your henhouse first. Then, you get ready for the next extension (which is your house) and talk to Gotz (go to his house, not when he is outside). Select the option and accept.
Q; How to get back my horse?
A; Hmm.. Have you lost your first one? Oh dear, you did not take good care of it! Don't worry, a 2nd chance is given to you! Plant 50 Grass Seeds and have them grown. So, the old man (hey, what's his name?) would come and give you a horse. It's the same colour, no colour change!
Q; TV Shopping? What's that?
A; It's a TV channel where you can shop for utensils for your house. Like frying pan, knife all these. Of course you need to pay for them. Additional 10g for a phone call at the Inn.
Q; What's with the yellow stars below my character (girl)?
A; If you read the fashion magazine or always look at the mirror, you will soon see these stars. These stars help you to win your bachelor's heart easier. Of course, time pass and the sentence of what your character is thinking changes like me! :D

TV Shopping
After you have upgraded your house for the 1st time, you will unlock this TV Channel called 'TV Shopping'. It will be aired every Saturday. The pattern is like this :
Knife: 3000G
Frying Pan: 2500G
Pot: 2000G
Mixer: 2500G
Whisk: 1000G
Rolling Pin: 1500G
Oven: 5000G
Seasonings Set: 5000G
Power Berry: 5000G
After viewing ALL of the talking of the person, go to the Inn and make a phone call (10g per phone call), accept the deal and the utensil is all yours. If you do not view all of the talking, you will not be able to make a phone call when you're in the Inn trying to call the station.

[HC] Getting your Fish Rod ;
When it is Friday, after all your work and visiting your bachelors or girl, leave a space
in your tools inventory. Go to the beach around 8PM, walk to the dock and talk to
Greg and he will give you a Fish Rod. If you happen to keep fishing, make sure you
keep your junks and throw them away in the Bin (Found in the Event Square) or you
give them to May. May does not like some of them.
[HC] Start of a New Life ;
When you begin playing Harvest Moon, you gotta keep on working until you got lots of money to upgrade your house, upgrade your tools. I'm going to teach you how to earn lots of money and play your game very well. Credits to HC.
When you start your game, go behind your house (left side) and collect all the items and sell them. Of course, someone will teach you how to sell (Ahem.. Basic). Then, go to the mining ore (behind the lake , near the Spa Place). Mine for some ores and put them in your inventory. Sell them for money. Clear your place and tow 8 spots. Like this ;

Leave a space for you to water the rest of the plants. If you do not, you will end up not watering the middle part of the spots. Go to the supermarket and purchase some fine seeds (whatever you like but NO GRASS). Grass cannot be purchased due to they are just a waste of space if you wanna earn money quickly. Plant the seeds at the spots you towed. Water them daily until they grow and sell them of course. You can offer them to the Harvest Godness. Offer 5 and she will give you this Lumber that Gotz will buy for 5000g. But please do not go on until you have a sweetheart in the game. If you do not, when you throw 10 in total, she will ask you and if you don't have, nobody's gonna give you flower and increase you both's relationship. Like me, I waited long until Cliff has blue or green heart then I will give the Harvest Godness 10 in total. Uh, take note that the Harvest Godness do not like other things like Bamboo Shoot, Blue Grass. She likes you to throw crop to offer them to her. Anyways, moving on.
After you get 5000g, you go to the supermarket to purchase the basket. Do not purchase the extended space of rucksack as it is useless for now. Go to the mining cave and keep mining until you are tired or the basket is full. Pour the ores you mined out into the bins (in your farm, not in the Square please). Press the square button to do so. And there! It's your new beginning. It really helps me. Oh but, if you want to go for Kai, Gray, Doctor, you gotta know how to let them like you FAST before the rivals get their hearts. Ann is my rival but I don't see them together that much.. and Cliff 's heart colour for me changes really fast. So yup! Good Luck on your new life in Harvest Moon!
